Continuing our journey from Alta, we headed towards Amsterdam. It’s a beautiful drive by car; I highly recommend it. We had several stops and saw beautiful places.
From the moment we crossed the Netherlands border, we knew this country was really well-polished… 😀 We wanted to buy a highway vignette at the gas station, and the cashier burst out laughing, saying, “This is an engaged country; you don’t need highway vignettes here, just a smile on your lips.” HAHA 😀
Finally, we arrived in Amsterdam, where we met Mia’s owners. All three of them welcomed us, and together we strolled around the apartment where Mia lived with Sinthia and her husband. Right next to the building, there was a cycle path where I probably saw more people on bikes than I’ve ever seen in my life. I understand why they have traffic lights even for bike paths. It was sometimes really challenging to cross the river… 😀Â
We had an amazing gin and tonic and showed each other everything we needed to know in the apartment. In their apartment, I liked that they had speakers in every room connected via wifi, so you could have fantastic music in every room, even in the bathroom :)))
Mia – lovely gir
She is beautiful, young, and a dog that loves your presence, and you can take her anywhere. One day, we even took a trip to Texel Island; we went by ferry, and Mia thoroughly enjoyed it. She loved the beach, the sand, and the sea. The challenging part was later combing her hair and putting her in order 🙂
Mia liked to goof around and run on the grass and around. But when she could choose, she preferred to be at home in comfort with her toys and in warmth. We even took her for a beer to a nearby brewery, which she really liked. She even tasted some beer foam :))
We were in Amsterdam for a short time, and this sit went smoothly. We saw some historical landmarks, visited coffee shops, saw the Red Light District, and tasted local cuisine. What I liked more, though, was the countryside. It was truly authentic, with windmills and tulips.

Discoveries for Pet Parents in the Kitchen
Air Fryer TurboBlaze
For those who haven’t tried it yet, this is the ideal way to cook healthily and relatively quickly. We used it extensively, and some days, it even saved us from hunger and the hassle of lengthy meal preparations.
Domestic Magic
Electric mop
Sooo, this is the first time I’ve ever used this, and I gotta say, it’s truly pawsome! For those who love squeaky-clean floors in a flash, this is definitely for you. I used it on floors, tiles—basically, it was quick and fur-iously effective!
LED Lights for TV
I gotta say, their TV really pawsed me. While they had this feature built into their TV from the start, for those of us who already have our TVs and just wanna give ’em a little “pawgrade,” this is absolutely ideal. And the movie experience? Totally pawsome, like a whole new world!
Sonos Era 100 Wireless Speaker
This was probably my absolute favorite thing in the whole house. I gotta say, the homeowner had it all pawsitively sorted out, and there was this speaker in every room. Every single one! You could just hop from room to room and have your tunes follow you. Or, say you and your buddy wanna listen to different jams in your own rooms? Why not! Control it all from your phone, it’s super smart. But if you’re looking for a budget-friendly option, maybe give this one a shotcheaper one.
Pet Paradise Hacks
Dog Deodorizing Spray
I must say, I’m old school and I didn’t realize that even pets can have their own beauty routine, and how important it is!! We used to groom and tidy up Mia maybe even twice a day, especially if the weather was bad, and that’s when you really appreciate a gem like this one. For a nicer scent and easy grooming.
Pet Carrier Backpack
We used this holder regularly with Mia. For example, when we were walking in crowded areas or taking the ferry. Or when we were in crowded city streets and didn’t want anyone to step on her paw accidentally. My parents use it for their dog when she’s tired (because she’s old) or simply when they go cycling… It’s really super convenient, and we love it!
Eye Cleaner
For owners of long-haired dogs or simply dogs with tear stains on their fur, this is the solution. It really helped us clean Mia’s fur from tears, and we felt that Mia was also happy to have fresh and clean eyes all the time.
