It all started in Spain. Our journey began in Malaga, where we took care of two beautiful cats. Since I have trouble with names, I only remembered the Slovak versions we gave them: Zuzana and Fero.
But let’s take it step by step. We arrived to Malaga and immediately we dived in to the atmosphere of Malaga and enjoyed its charm and Andalusian temperament. Having a friend directly from this city allowed us to try the finest local delicacies and experience moments known only to the locals. If you want to know more, read here.
Zuzana and Fero lived in a cozy spot overlooking the sea, not far from Malaga. Our first encounter was more like navigating a maze than taking a leisurely stroll in the park. They were shy and I believe our initial impression wasn’t exactly endearing. 😀 Clearly, they didn’t understand our language and we might have come across as a bit too bold, intruding and distributing their usual way of living.

We endured a night of unsettling awakenings. They wouldn’t let us be. They sat across the room, staring at us as we slept, which can be a bit scary if you are not used to 4 eyes watching you in the dark.
However, in the following days, things became much smoother and we found our way around each other. It’s amazing how they opened up and began to love us… There was dynamic affection between us, they began to feel comfortable so allowed us to cuddle them. Their routine wasn’t demanding, attention, feeding, afternoon attention and evening cuddles. We kept each other company, all while managing to work and explore the surroundings. Fero – (Dark Lord)
Fero was a very pleasant presence, when he was on visible place. During hot days we rarely saw him, in the apartment with limited place he always some secret place where he became invisible. When he was present, he darted around quickly, exuding an air of utmost independence. Yet, when Ivana managed to catch him under her arm, he couldn’t escape easily. She began petting and scratching him, and he seemed to thoroughly enjoy it for about 25 seconds, appearing content with the unfolding interaction. However, after a while, he realised, he may like it, what is actually not acceptable for the Dark Lord and he attempted to slip away from her embrace.
The rule with him was simple – not to pay too much attention and provide him space until he decided to join us on his own terms.

Zuzana – Khaleesi (The queen of humans)
Zuzana is the epitome of a woman with intriguing mysteries. You never quite know what’s on her mind or what she’s in the mood for. 😀 She was always there with us, a constant presence, never straying far from our side, only when she decided that we overstepped her personal space… Then as the punishment she hid, so we were left alone. For 5 minutes, but still… In fact, she even spent the last nights right alongside us, nestling in for a cozy sleepover! But that is our secret.
Our very first pet sit as a friendly help with the cats while stay in beautiful environment, has changed our life forever. Thanks to our friend Martita, we realised that this is the way we could live, travel and enjoy new places with a amazing fur company, which makes this experience more memorable and sweet.
We decided we are going to become pet sitters!

Discoveries for Pet Parents in the Kitchen
Ceramic Grater
Well, this is truly amazing, and I believe everyone in Spain uses it for that “extra kick” in their soups, with tomatoes, garlic, and so on, or just spread on a piece of bread. Plus, it’s a beautiful addition!
Domestic Magic
Wooden Incense Stick
I love fragrances, and they are important to me 🙂 One of them is the scent of incense sticks, which are typical in Thailand but also everywhere around the world. This holder is really great because it can hold more than just one, and all the mess from the sticks falls directly onto the mat.

Mat Litter Trapping
This mat captures the mess after your kitty leaves its litter box 🙂 Really great, saves you from unnecessary cleaning.
